ip Meyerhoff is a cooking enthusiast who got his start preparing family meals at the age of seven.  As a teen growing up in his father's New York hotel Kip rubbed shoulders with an eclectic mix of cooks and chefs who instilled in him an appreciation for good food.  Kip has spent a lifetime collecting characters and recipes to spice his repertoire of food related stories.  A childhood shaped by a gourmand father, interupted by two stints in the military, twenty plus years in law enforcement, time as a private investigator, bodyguard and security consultant, resulted in Kip becoming a restaurateur.  He now tells his stories to anyone who'll listen.

Follow the latest exploits of Los Angeles PI Rollo Michaels as he tracks down false leads on dead end streets.   Kip's latest effort, "Deadwood and Beyond"  takes us to the historical South Dakota town of Deadwood.  Goldmines and casinos lure those seeking riches, or a little action, but Rollo has come here in search of the missing person he's been hired to find.  Murder and mahem have accompanied Rollo on his quest and he'll need help to get out of this jackpot. Determined to find who he is looking for, Rollo stumbles into something a whole lot bigger.  'Services' page and continues on his blog.  This mystery starts out in the greater Los Angeles area but knows no bounds.  The story's main character, Rollo Michaels, is overwhelmed by forces he cannot fathom.  He is soon sucked into places he didn't know existed, where murder is the mildest perversion.  Go with Rollo on a path even Kip can hardly imagine.  Kip's blog is: www.cookingwithkip.com/blog Chapter 3 posted 4-26. What We Do

Kip is writing for the River Times, a publication serving a portion of the Ohio River Valley that includes the scenic communities of Warsaw and Ghent, Kentucky and the picturesque Vevay/Switzerland County areas of  Indiana. Unedited excerpts of his monthly column "Cookin' with Kip" will be posted on this site along with expanded recipes not previously published.  Our purpose is to edify and entertain both the visitors to the site and the author. Kip is including a few autobiographical short stories to chronicle memories of incidents that may have only happened in his mind.
